The Siam must be the best hotel in Bangkok. It's a beautiful oasis from the hectic streets outside and looks like it was styled and designed by Coco Chanel herself. We booked this hotel on a whim last minute, choosing to stay in the Pool Villa Courtyard. It's about 45 minutes from BKK Airport.

Located on the Chao Praya Riverfront, the hotel has it's own private pier and speedboat. You can take the boat along the river to many of the restaurants and skip the driving traffic! Sadly we were so jet lagged from the night before and had only one night in Bangkok before flying to Phuket so we didn't get a chance to take the boat to the restaurant.
For our Thailand trip, we booked all our hotels via Agoda. We called Agoda to see if we could check in early to the Siam - it didn't seem possible so we just arrived at 2PM for check in. The traffic on Saturday was pretty bad, but the cab driver told us that it was because the beloved King of Thailand had just died and 40,000 people had come out to Bangkok to honor him
The rate of the room roughly $1000 USD a night.
Upon arrival our butler, Ray, greeted us with cold, delicious fruit drink in a glass bottle. I should've asked what it was, it was very sour, delicious, and had seeds at the bottom (not chia)

The Riverfront Hotel Restaurant
The restaurant had super spicy, very authentic Thai food
The breakfast was more American, it was included with the room. There is a small buffet featuring a variety of fresh squeezed juices, fruits and baked goods. You can order anything you wanted from a set menu, items such as eggs benedict, coconut waffles (must try next time!), and much much more.
The croissants were hands down the best I've ever had. They tasted like they were soaked in butter! I could have eaten nothing but these croissants for breakfast and been a happy camper. The fresh squeezed orange juice was also great, it had a slightly different taste from other orange juice's I've had but still great.

This is not a sponsored post, we paid for the hotel room with our own money.
