Growing up, I wasn't a very stylish teenager. It was a super different time! We didn't have Instagram, with aspirational fashion and lifestyle influencers to look up to. I read fashion magazines, but I don't think that Teen Vogue even existed back then, so it's not like I could afford anything that I liked in the magazines.
Our TV stars were on Beverly Hills 90210 and Saved by the Bell, neither of which were shows that were known for their style. We didn't have ultra stylish teenager shows like Gossip Girl. We definitely didn't have sites like Pretty Little Thing, with killer dress selections at reasonable prices.
My only real options for homecoming were the mall. I did like my dress for homecoming, it was a classy black number, but it was pretty plain and didn't showcase much of my personality. I wish I had a picture of that dress but I couldn't pull one up!
High school girls are so lucky today that they can shop at Pretty Little Thing for their Homecoming! The selection of homecoming dresses is endless. I had such a hard time just narrowing two of my favorites to shoot for this feature.
My absolute favorite homecoming dress is this white flowing number. I feel like such an elegant princess while wearing the dress and I love that it is see-through at the bottom but in a totally classy fashion. It shows just a little bit of cleavage to be sexy and it looks so dressed up with accents of gold jewelry.
This black dress is my next favorite pic from Pretty Little Thing, it's super fun and flirty and I love to add a pop of color by adding the colorful heel. As you can see, my choices are super feminine and girly! I loved Homecoming in high school because it's one of the few rare occasions that we got to really dress up!
I loved this dress so much that I also wore it to an Emmy party!
Pretty Little Thing gifted me these dresses but as always all opinions are my own!
